Cisco is looking for Software Engineers for their India Engineering team. This posting is to advertise potential job opportunities. The team designs, builds, and supports innovative technology solutions that enable global connectivity. They work on diverse projects spanning networking, security, and collaboration.
You will develop software consistent with Cisco's Design Thinking Principles with a focus on simplification using secure coding practices. You will design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new products. Cisco offers three tracks: Software Engineer - Networking Protocols, Software Engineer - Application Software, and Software Engineer - Embedded and Systems Development.
Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to solution of straightforward business problems regarding operations, products, services or customers. - Analyze information, ask questions and check for understanding using standard procedures. - Establish relationships and collaborate effectively with own team. - Collaborate with others on projects and work on small-to-medium features from technical design through completion. - Apply understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices. - Write functional clean code and unit tests with guidance. - Perform parts of the coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the development process. - Assist in code reviews and address code review feedback.
Eligibility Criteria: - 2027 graduate only (Bachelors/Masters in CS or related field). - TCP/IP networking fundamentals, routing, switching, and Python scripting.
